GROUP HUMAN CAPITAL  MANAGER

Reports to

 GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR

 

Job purpose

 

To aid top management to effectively manage the asset base of Dawa group of companies by developing, recommending, implementing/coordinating program and policies encompassing the following: Employment/Staffing, Compensation, Performance management, Training, Benefits, Career management, succession planning, and outplacement, Employee services Supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans.

Duties and responsibilities

HR Strategic Planning

                                   i.            Formulating personnel systems and strategies appropriate to the company’s corporate mission and goals

                                 ii.            Develop the organizational human resources strategy in compliance with corporate group strategy

                               iii.            Design the group human resources department structure, positions and process system in compliance to its strategic mandate

                               iv.            Formulate HR Plans, Policies &procedures according to organizational objectives.

                                 v.            Keeping the board informed on personnel and employee-relations policies, as needed, to preserve and facilitate company strategy

Manpower planning

                                   i.            Organize meetings with Management, plans for manpower as per requirements.

                                 ii.            Set up the working methodology for succession planning analysis, implementation and monitoring

                               iii.            Ensure proper recruitment process

 

Compensations Schemes & Benefits Management

                                   i.            Review and analyze the group subsidiaries

                                 ii.            Guide the performance appraisal system Procedures and ensure its compliance.

 

Employees Relations Management

                                   i.            Ensure policies and procedures for the treatment of employees’ horizontal and vertical inter-organizational conflicts

                                 ii.            Enhance Organization communications and Encourage and develop employee communications

                               iii.            Ensure proper management of Staff amenities and occupational and health safety compliance

Training and development

                                   i.   Guide in identifying the areas for development

                                 ii.   Explore the new skills to enhance productivity

                               iii.   Administer the Training Policy.

Compliance

                                   i.            Ensuring compliance with employment law

                                 ii.            Responding to internal and external requests for service information and or data

                               iii.            Ensuring Health and safety compliance

 

Competencies

v    Decision Making.

 

Professional

v  Bachelor's degree in human resources

v 10+ years of relevant work experience (Operations/General Management in a         manufacturing / Service industry)

v  Fellow of the Chartered Institute of human resource management  (or equivalent qualification)

v  Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.

v  Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission
